Cattle Baron founder dies

Jeffrey W. Wilson, chief executive officer and founder of the Cattle Baron Restaurants Inc., of Roswell, died Sunday at Roswell Regional Hospital. He was 57.

Cattle Baron Restaurants, Inc. was founded in Portales in 1976. Today there are eight Cattle Baron locations operating throughout New Mexico and Texas, including Roswell, the home of the company’s corporate headquarters.

In addition, Wilson founded Farley’s Food, Fun, and Pub; and Tia Juana’s Mexican Grill and Cantina.

Currently Farley’s serves the cities of Ruidoso, Roswell and Las Cruces and Tia Juana’s operates in Roswell and Hobbs.
