Hunters and other outdoor travelers may encounter state Department of Game and Fish roadblocks throughout the state this fall.
The roadblocks aim to gather harvest data and catch violators.
Conservation officers will be checking for compliance with hunting and fishing laws, and with registration requirements and safety provisions of the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Act.
Department officers may be assisted by other law enforcement agencies, according to the release.
United Way of Eastern New Mexico says donors in Curry and Roosevelt counties have pledged $204,955 thus far in the annual campaign.
More than 20 volunteers and staff are making visits and presentations to businesses, clubs and groups in both counties.
