Clovis police said the Subway restaurant at Prince Street and Mabry Drive was burglarized.

Police Chief Steve Sanders said employees found a front window broken when they arrived at work early Thursday. He said the burglary was reported at 6:40 a.m.

Subway Manager Stephanie Martinez said she came to work at 6:35 a.m. to find the power out and assumed it was from an overnight storm.

She said more than $9,000 was taken from the safe and a change container.

Martinez said police told her the burglar shut off power to breakers on the back of building before breaking the window to enter.
