Will Anderson has been named editor of the State Line Tribune, effective Sept. 1.
The Tribune is a weekly paper with a circulation of 1,350 in Parmer County, serving Farwell, Bovina, Lazbuddie and Texico.
Anderson is a Farwell native who served 26 years in the Navy, recently returning to Farwell upon his retirement, according to Mike Pomper, a former Tribune owner who still volunteers at the paper.
He also teaches college history classes and is pursuing a master’s degree, Pomper said.
While a Farwell High School student in the 1970s, Anderson wrote stories on high school football games for the Tribune.
