State police said they seized more than 350 marijuana plants and 85 pounds of packaged marijuana worth $218,000 at a ranch near Conchas.

New Mexico State Police said Mark Hardage, 49, of Conchas, was charged with felony marijuana distribution Tuesday after a lengthy investigation.

Agents with state police and the New Mexico Livestock Board said they were tipped a resident in the Conchas area had a marijuana grove on his ranch.

“Each agency had received a tip around the same time about the activity going on at Hardage’s ranch,” said Lt. Eric F. Garcia, state police information officer. “We immediately coordinated an investigation which lead to Hardage’s arrest two weeks after receiving the tips.”

Hardage was being held in the San Miguel County Detention Center in lieu of $11,000 bond.
