A state Senate committee has confirmed the appointment of Clovis’ Raymond Mondragon to the state’s Economic Development Commission.

Gov. Bill Richardson appointed Mondragon to serve on the nine-member committee, according to a press release.

The Commission advises the Economic Development Department on policy matters and helps create the state’s five-year economic development plan, the release said.

“I am honored that Governor Richardson appointed me to be part of the Economic Development Commission,” Mondragon said in the release.

Mondragon is the director of economic development and governmental relations for ENMR Plateau Telecommunications.
