Three Muleshoe residents were arrested during a joint drug task force operation conducted by area law enforcement.
Josh Hernandez, 26, Felicia Nieto, 23, and Christian Olivares, 45, were arrested Friday, charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and methamphetamine and with possession of marijuana.
They are in the custody of Texas authorities, according to a press release from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators found 94 grams of cocaine, 58 grams of meth, 10 grams of crack, 1 pound of marijuana when a search warrant was served at a residence in the 100 block of East Avenue I in Muleshoe.
Because the residence was within 1,000 feet of a school, the criminal charges are enhanced, the release said.
According to the release, investigators also found assorted stolen property and more than $3,000 cash from drug sales.
The drugs seized have an estimated value of $17,000.
The search was conducted by members of the Region V Drug Task Force, Muleshoe Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Clovis Police Department and Curry County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation revealed the three were trafficking drugs in eastern New Mexico and west Texas, the release said.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated, the release said.
