Clovis man arrested for child pornography

CNJ staff report

A 20-year-old Clovis man was arrested Wednesday on charges of sexual exploitation of children.

Jeremy J. Montano turned himself in to Curry County Sheriff’s investigators and was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bond.

He is charged with five counts possession of child pornography.

Undersheriff Wesley Waller said an investigation of Montano began Aug. 26, when it was determined he was, “actively trading child pornography in public file sharing programs on the Internet.”

Waller said images were found after Montano’s computer was seized.

Waller said Montano admitted during an interview he had downloaded, watched and viewed pornographic movies and images of children engaged in sexual activity.
