A 34-year-old Clovis man already on federal parole for dealing drugs was arrested by the Region V Drug Task Force on Wednesday after investigators say he arranged to buy more than a half pound of cocaine.

Scott Foster was charged with criminal solicitation to commit felony drug trafficking and attempted felony drug trafficking.

He is being held without bond at the Curry County Adult Detention Center because of his parole status.

According to a press release from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, Foster arranged to pick up the drugs at a Clovis park.

Police found the cocaine on Foster’s person along with $6,800 at the time of his arrest, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing, the release said, and more arrests are anticipated.
