A Clovis man is accused of burglary after neighbors called police Wednesday to report him removing items from a house on their street.
Anthony Moore, 22, is charged with burglary, felony tampering with evidence, felony larceny and criminal damage. Police said they believe he may be involved in other recent burglaries.
Moore is being held in lieu of $16,000 bond, jail officials said.
According to a press release from Clovis police, neighbors spotted Moore entering a home in the 1500 block of Ashton Street and reported he fled the scene, giving officers a description of him and his vehicle.
Police said they ran Moore’s license plate number and were waiting for him when he and his girlfriend arrived home.
Stolen property was found in his vehicle and in the residence where he was staying, the release said.
Police are not identifying Moore’s girlfriend pending investigation.
Detectives believe there may have been other burglaries, possibly involving additional suspects.
