Regarding last Thursday’s editorial, “Palin’s sudden exit amateur political move:”
The reason for Sarah Palin’s resignation appears obvious to me.
She resigned partially because of the nasty comments about her family, especially David Letterman’s crude comment for which he should have been fired.
Her responsibilities with the state were constantly being interrupted by personal attacks.
She most likely plans to hit the speech and lecture circuit. She is attractive, articulate, and appeals to a great number of people. The GOP is in need of leadership and though I doubt she will fill the bill for a top job she can do a lot of good by pushing the conservative agenda.
The pay isn’t bad either — much more than governor. Ex-President Clinton seems to keep bread on his table by doing the same thing.
