HENDERSON, NEV. — New Mexico State’s Travis Reid, who began the day tied for first, is alone in first after posting a one-over par 73 in the second day of the Western Athletic Conference men’s golf championship.
Reid has a two-day total of 140 and holds a two-stroke lead over Fresno State’s Grant Doverspike.
With the Clovis native Reid leading the way, and teammate Gaston De La Tore in sixth place after shooting a 71, New Mexico State is in first place with a four-stroke lead over Fresno State.
The Aggies followed up Monday’s 282 with a 301 in windy conditions at the 7,332-yard, par-72 Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.
The tournament concludes Wednesday with final-round tee times beginning at 7 a.m. (PST).
