Clovis police are investigating a stabbing Wednesday night that resulted in an unidentified male being hospitalized at Plains Regional Medical Center.

Records show police were called to the 3000 block of Sheridan Street around 11 p.m. for a public affray. Reports indicated a man, who police did not identify, had been stabbed multiple times in the fight.

Police Capt. Patrick Whitney said the victim underwent surgery and was in stable condition.

The victim is not cooperating with police, though they believe he knows the identity of the suspect, Whitney said.

No charges had been filed, Whitney said.
