Police seek arrest warrant with stabbing case

Clovis detectives are seeking an arrest warrant in connection with a stabbing early Sunday morning.

A Clovis man was treated at Plains Regional Medical Center after being stabbed twice, according to Capt. Patrick Whitney of the Clovis Police Department.

A 20-year old Clovis man told police he got into a fight at a party at a residence near Chaparral Street in Town Talk Mobile Home Park. He told police he didn’t realize until later the other man was punching him with a knife.

The man’s lung was punctured and he was also stabbed through the shoulder, Whitney said.

According to a police report filed Monday, police were unable to find any evidence of blood in the area near Chaparral Street where the man said he was stabbed.
