Clovis man wins $50,000 lottery prize

Seturnino “Nino” Garduno of Clovis won $50,000 in a New Mexico Lottery scratch-off game, according to a release from the New Mexico Lottery Authority.

Garduno purchased a “Diamond Dazzler” ticket last Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3280. After claiming his prize Wednesday at the state lottery office in Albuquerque, he said he planned to buy his wife a car and use it to visit family in Connecticut.

Recent Clovis winners include Freida Maes ($25,000 on Jan. 7) and Samone Bricker ($10,000 on Dec. 22).
