Curry County will be hosting a meet and greet to give residents a chance to meet the new jail administrator today.
From 3 to 5 p.m. residents are invited to the commission room at the courthouse to meet Lois Patricia Jones-Bean.
Bean previously served as the chief deputy warden of the Eddy County Detention Center for the last year and has 20 years experience in corrections specializing in security and human resources management, officials have said.
Bean was hired to replace Lesley Johnson, who retired in August.
Monday was Bean’s first day as administrator.
