A car accident Sunday night left more than 1,000 Clovis homes without power.

The car hit a pole about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, breaking a power pole on the 2500 block of Prince Street.

Wes Reeves, a spokesperson for Xcel Energy, said 1,200 customers how power interrupted. Of those customers, 900 had their service back on about 30 minutes later with rerouting work. The remaining customers had power restored at 11:05 p.m., when the damage was repaired, Reeves said.
