De Baca family named state Farm and Livestock Bureau Family of the Year
De Baca County ranchers Richard, Ellen and Amy Vaughan, have been named the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau’s “Family of the Year” during the organization’s annual meeting in Albuquerque, according to a bureau news release.
Marking their 100th year in continuous agricultural operation, the Vaughans represent four generations of farmers and ranchers on the family homestead in the Fort Sumner Valley, according to the release.
The Vaughan Ranch began as a 160-acre homestead south of Taiban in 1908.
White re-elected as state Farm and Livestock Bureau president
Chaves County farmer Michael White has been re-elected president of the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau in Albuquerque, according to a bureau press release.
White, an alfalfa and corn farmer from Dexter, will begin his fourth term as state Farm Bureau President, having first been elected to the position in 2002, according to the release.
Irrigation system manufacturer recognizes Clovis dealer
Reinke Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of mechanized irrigation systems, recognized Newman Electric Co. for marketing Reinke products for 20 years during its annual convention In October in Savannah, Ga., according to a Reinke press release.
Based in Deshler, Neb., Reinke’s products are used throughout the United States and Canada, and in more than 60 countries worldwide, according to the release.
State Farm Insurance office to hold open house
State Farm Insurance agent Mike Morris is holding a Christmas open house from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at 301 N. Main St., according to a press release.
Photo store opens on 21st Street
Dig-It-All photography services opened Sunday at 1020 W. 21st Street, according to a press release.
Owner Martie Watson said the business offers photography services, including family portraits, senior pictures and photo restoration.
She said the location also includes a banquet hall and dance hall available for rent.
