Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 1 a.m. Oct. 26 an officer responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Norris Street for a loud party.
When the officer arrived, several subjects could be seen running into an apartment.
The apartment resident allowed the officer to enter the apartment, where several juveniles were found hiding in closets and bedrooms.
Several bottles of alcohol were also found in the residence.
Police issued eight citations for minors allowing themselves to be served.

Around 2 a.m. Oct. 26 an officer responded to a business in the 4000 block of Mabry Drive in reference to a theft of services.
A supervisor told the officer two males had eaten and left without paying for their meal.
She said she thought they went outside to smoke after eating, but after several minutes, they didn’t return.
One of the suspects left his wallet containing his identification, which she gave to the officer.

About 2 a.m. Oct. 26 an officer responded to a hotel in the 300 block of Schepps Boulevard for a noise complaint.
An employee said he had received several complaints about some guests being too loud.
While in the hallway near the room, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana.
The man in the room the odor seemed to be coming from admitted he had been smoking marijuana in his room and turned over a small baggy of marijuana to the officer.
The officer issued the man a citation for possession of marijuana.

Around 3 p.m. Oct. 26 an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Prince Street for an assault.
A woman said she saw people at a rent house that was supposed to be empty, and when she confronted them and told them they couldn’t be there, a man holding a knife told her he wasn’t leaving.
The woman’s husband explained to officers after the tenant had moved out, he had changed the locks and no one was supposed to be inside.
The officer could not locate the suspect.
