This is a report on the city of Clovis Water Policy Advisory Board’s monthly meeting held Tuesday:
• The Clovis Water Policy Advisory Board approved a recommendation to the city commission to draft an ordinance regarding fugitive water from commercial and residential properties.
The ordinance is in line with the city’s water conservation plan, according to Board Chairman and Mayor Pro-tem Randy Crowder.
Crowder said the ordinance will take several months to draft.
• Board members also discussed proposing an ordinance for irrigating lawns during the heat of the day in the summer, but voted against drafting an ordinance for it.
