Firefighters extinguished two structure fires over the weekend, according to Clovis Fire Chief Ray Westerman.
Friday night just before midnight, firefighters responded to an unoccupied residence at Grand Avenue and Davis Street. Westerman said the upper level of the two story residence was fully engulfed.
Firefighters were on scene for about an hour and a half, he said.
The building was vacant and unsecured. The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
The second fire occurred about noon on Saturday in the 2000 block of Lisa Street. Westerman said a fire was reported in a bedroom of an occupied home. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire relatively quickly he said.
The residents evacuated the home and there were no known injuries.
