Cats beat Cibola 21-14

ALBUQUERQUE — Stefan Mills rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns as Clovis beat Cibola 21-14 on Friday in a non-district game at Milne Stadium.

Mills’ 1-yard run midway through the third quarter snapped at 14-14 halftime tie and turned out to be the game winner

Cibola (3-4) tied the game just before halftime on Isaiah Wright’s 2-yards run with 17 seconds left in the second quarter.

Mills gave Clovis a 14-7 lead midway through the second quarter on a 7-yard run. The Wildcats (6-1) took a 7-0 early in the first quarter when senior wide receiver
Josh Bryan scooped up a teammate’s fumble and raced 41 yards for a score. Moses Bibbs fumbled after a catching a 33-yard pass from Josh Potocki, but
Bryan was there to take advantage.

Hayden Schaap tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Stefan Ford on the first play of the second quarter for Cibola’s first score.
