Farm bill workshop set for Tuesday

The Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is holding a 7 p.m. workshop today at K-Bob’s Steakhouse regarding the Farm Bill, according to a press release from the Union.

National Farmers Union President Tom Bius will give an overview of the bill and experts from commodity groups, government, rural development and insurance will talked about selected parts of the legislation, according to the release.

Passed in congress in May, the bill would provide federal subsidies to the agricultural industry and funds nutrition, conservation and energy programs.
