Pizza Hut robbed Sunday night

Clovis police are investigating an armed robbery Sunday night at the Pizza Hut on 21st Street.

According to a CPD press release:

• Just before midnight after the restaurant had closed, an employee was confronted outside by a male with a bandana over his mouth holding a small rifle-type gun.

• The suspect demanded the female employee open the door. She told the suspect she couldn’t because it was locked. He instructed her to knock on the door while he hid behind a pillar.

• When the door was opened by the manager, the suspect rushed in and demanded money from the safe.

• The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a vehicle driven by an accomplice.

• The suspect is described as a short Hispanic male wearing a small beanie cap, black shorts and a black shirt. The vehicle is described as a small blue car, possibly a Ford Taurus, the release said.
