The Greathouse family held their 52nd reunion at the Memorial Building in Portales on July 13. There were three families represented with 37 people in attendance.
During visitation scrapbooks were viewed and family histories were exchanged followed by a potluck dinner with the invocation being given by Bill Strong.
The business meeting was called to order by president Regina Abdill. This year’s reunion was dedicated to Carmen Greathouse, Monica Nichols, Nile Greathouse, and Nathan Greathouse, who have all passed away since the last reunion.
Sheryl Abdill read the minutes and gave the treasurer’s report and correspondence from those who could not attend. Election of officers was held with Regina Abdill staying as president, Sheryl Abdill staying as secretary and treasurer and Debbie Strong as vice president.
Door prizes were given out with special gifts given to Mason Greathouse for being the youngest and A.V. and Floretta Wood for being married the shortest length of time.
Dan Greathouse auctioned six items that had been donated.

Sheryl Abdill, Taylor and Amber Jones, Regina Abdill, Ronald Dickson, Mike and Cindy Shaughnessy, Ben and Megan Greathouse with children Tristan, Braedon and Mason, all of Clovis. Dan and Kathleen Greathouse, Jack Greathouse, Ross Greathouse, Vickie Simpson, David King, Bill and Debbie Strong, Amanda Kaberlein with son Issac, Phil and Rita Russell and Celeste Dunn, all of Portales.
