A Clovis man was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years for two counts of kidnapping and five counts of criminal sexual penetration.

The charges against Alex Montoya, 53, stem from a January report of rape to the Clovis Police Department, according to a release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

According to the release, the victim told officers Montoya, her ex-boyfriend, assaulted her, bound her with rope and forced her to have sex with him, then forced her into his car and raped her repeatedly while driving through Roosevelt and Curry counties.

Upon release, Montoya must serve between five and 20 years of supervised parole.
