An Albuquerque Fire Department lieutenant was arrested Saturday in
Clovis for child solicitation, according to a Clovis Police Department
news release.

Glenn Perrin, 41, of Edgewood used the Internet to set up a date
in Clovis with an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl,
according to a criminal complaint filed in Curry County Magistrate
Court.

Perrin was released from the Curry County Detention Center Sunday on a $5,000 bond.

Perrin contacted fake Yahoo! and Myspace accounts created by the
Region V Drug Task Force hoping to snag drug offenders online,
according to the release.

Perrin contacted the fake Yahoo! account March 22 and arranged
to have sex on the same day with what he thought was a 13-year-old
girl, the complaint said.

Perrin backed out of the initial arrangement, but arranged to
meet again Saturday with the decoy at the parking lot of a local
grocery store, according to the complaint.

Perrin was arrested about 10:15 p.m. when he pulled up to the
decoy, who was sitting on a bench in the parking lot, according to the
complaint.

He said he would bring a bottle of raspberry-flavored alcohol, which was found later in his vehicle, according to the complaint.

Perrin has been placed on leave after his arrest, officials said.
