Lady Cats advance to 4-5A title game

Antiesha Brown scored 15 points and Jasmine McDonald added 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Clovis girls beat Carlsbad 66-34 in a District 4-5A tournament semifinal game Thursday at Rock Staubus Gym.

With the win, the Lady Wildcats advance to Saturday’s 4-5A tournament title game at Hobbs.

In other girls district tournament action Thursday, Melrose rallied to beat Fort Sumner 25-19 in a District 3-1A semifinal contest.

Kimberly Lyons led Melrose with eight points.

The Lady Buffs meet Elida on Saturday in the title game.

Jennifer Schaap scored 22 points and Ashley Klinger added 10 as Clovis Christian edged Logan 62-57 in a District 4-1A semifinal game.
