Climate change part of cycle

New Mexico lawmakers have asked constituents a series of questions.

One is, “Do you think the current climate changes are man made?”

Here are some answers:

• Frank Dalton: “While man probably has influenced some climatic effects, I rather expect that most climatic change is the result of various cycles that research has certainly proven to exist. Some cycles are short, lasting only a few years, while others have been suggested to last several millenia.”

• Kay Arvizu: “If the current climate changes are man made, what did man do in prehistoric times to melt the ice cap? Regardless of what some would have us think, God is still in control.”

• Anna Baucom: “Encourage biodiesel for energy saving instead of high-priced oil and gas.”
