Llano Estacado Cotton Conference Set For Jan. 24
The Llano Estacado Cotton Conference is set for Jan. 24 in the Bailey County Coliseum at 2006 West American Blvd., Muleshoe, TX. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the program at 8:30 a.m. The conference is sponsored by Texas Cooperative Extension in Bailey, Parmer, Lamb and Castro Counties. This year’s conference will address: regional and county-wide cotton projects, variety selection, pest management, fiber quality, boll weevil eradication, weed management and a cotton market update.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Extension specialists, industry representatives, and other growers throughout the day. They will also be able to visit commercial exhibits throughout the day. Five Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be issued to private, commercial, and non-commercial pesticide applicators who attend the conference.
A registration fee of $15 will be payable at the door. The fee will provide for lunch, educational materials, and access to commercial exhibits.
