Business Digest: Glass Doctor makes magazine

Entrepreneur magazine listed Glass Doctor No. 318 in its 2008 “Franchise 500” list, according to a news release.

Glass Doctor of Clovis, locally operated by Gene Porter, is part of the nation’s largest full-service glass provider, which serves the residential, automotive and commercial glass repair and replacement markets at more than 365 locations.

Wage reporting seminar offered
The Small Business Development Center at Clovis Community College will offer a seminar on Social Security annual wage reporting.

Employers will learn how to submit 2007 wage reports, file reports electronically, verify names and Social Security numbers online, and reconcile form 941 data with W-2 wage data.

The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon Friday in Room 108 at CCC.

Workshop planned on fundraising

New Mexico MainStreet Institutes will hold a fundraising workshop from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. May 30 in Clovis. The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce will co-host the workshop.

Participants will learn several techniques for successful fundraising. The workshop is designed for MainStreet organization committee members, board members and officers, and for board members, volunteers and staff from non-profit community/economic development organizations.
