The Claud Rainy Day Extension Club
The Claud Rainy Day Extension Club met Dec. 5 with Joy Pattison as hostess.

President Aloha Starbuck, Vice-president Betty Mobley, Secretary-treasurer Judy Gambill, Reporter Lucille Johnson and Parliamentarian Sue Pattison were installed for the new year.

Each new officer added a branch to a Christmas tree.

Starbuck read the comic “Mr. and Mrs. Wright” while gifts were passed around.

Members voted to enter a float in the Light Parade. The float included a fireplace, tree, large snowflakes, strings of popcorn, gifts and toys.

Members rode while singing Christmas carols and passing out candy. Bob Johnson drove the truck dressed as a Christmas package.

The next meeting will be Jan. 8, 2008 with the Starbucks. New planning books for the year will be given.

The Encanto Garden Club
The Encanto Garden Club held a catered luncheon at The Landing for its December meeting.

Hostesses were Jane Rybolt, Jackie Wuest and Bess Kline. The business meeting was conducted by President Barbara Voges. Karen Allen read the minutes of the last meeting and Ruth Burns gave the treasurer’s report. Poinsettias, which had decorated the tables, were sent to absent members.

Following the meal, games were led by Wuest and gifts were exchanged.

The January meeting will be held at the home of Voges. Guests are welcome. For information call 763-7661.
