A clerk at a Clovis video store was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night of an undisclosed amount of money, according to police records.

Police received a call just before 10:30 p.m. from Hollywood Video at 4017 North Prince St. that a man wearing a ski mask had entered the store and demanded money, records show. The clerk said the man had a handgun under his jacket, and ran out of the store after he was given the money, according to reports.

Clovis’ Capt. Patrick Whitney said the case is under investigation, and at this point there is no indication of a connection with a robbery that occurred Wednesday night at a Clovis hotel.

The suspect involved in Thursday’s robbery is described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 250 pounds, last seen wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information can call the Clovis Police Department at 769-1921.
