Construction is under way on a Tractor Supply Co. store at the northern end of North Prince Street, according to a Tractor Supply news release.

The 19,000-square-foot store at 1282 State Road 209 will be the farm and ranch supply retailer’s first New Mexico location.

“Farmers in Curry County grow a lot of wheat and raise plenty of livestock, so we know the ‘do-it-yourself’ lifestyle thrives here,” said Stan Ruta, executive vice president of store operations. “We look forward to supplying the tools the community needs — everything from animal healthcare products to work boots.”

Construction began July 23 and is set for completion by mid-November. The contractor for the project is Bingham Construction of Marble Falls, Texas.

Tractor Supply Company, listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange as TSCO, operates more than 700 stores in 38 states. Stores are located in the outlying towns in major metropolitan markets and in rural communities.
