Sheriff’s department: No injuries in deputy crash

No one was injured when a Curry County Sheriff’s patrol car and a pickup truck collided about 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Road 209 and Curry Road 16 north of Clovis, according to officials. Undersheriff Wesley Waller said the county car was driven by Deputy Erica Romero, who State Police said was cited for improper passing. The pickup truck driver was a minor cited for not having a valid driver’s license, police said. Waller said Romero was responding to a crash near Broadview where there were no serious injuries.
