Clovis woman wins sales award
Jacqueline Davis of Clovis has been honored as a national achiever with Silpada Designs, according to a company news release.
Davis earned the first-place “Personal Sales Award” that recognizes success in sales through home shows.
She was selected for the award from more than 20,000 other Silpada Designs independent sales representatives who sell the sterling silver jewelry, the release reads.

Alfalfa workshop set for Thursday
A regional alfalfa production workshop is scheduled for Thursday at the Farwell Community Center, 207 Ninth St., Farwell.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. (MDT), and the program will be from 8 a.m. to noon (MDT).
The $20 registration fee includes lunch and an alfalfa crop book.
The event is sponsored by Texas A&M Cooperative Extension and New Mexico State University. Continuing education credits for Texas and New Mexico can be applied for.

Portales dentist receives honor
Dr. Peter Thompson of Portales has received the Academy of General Dentistry’s Fellowship Award, according to an AGD press release.
In order to receive the award, Thompson completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed an exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with AGD, the release reads.
Thompson is a graduate of the University of Texas and practices dentistry in Portales.
