Authorities are looking for information in a case involving an assault last month on a Clovis man, according a press release from the Clovis Police Department.

Eric J. Burrell, 39, remains in a Lubbock hospital recovering from injuries suffered in the assault and has been unable to communicate much information to law enforcement, Clovis Capt. Patrick Whitney said.

Witnesses saw Burrell get into a white, extended cab pick-up about 1:30 p.m. April 26 in the parking lot of a smoke shop on Main Street, according to police. Burrell told authorities at the Parmer County Sheriff’s Office he was beaten by two Hispanic males in their 20s, the release said.

A motorist picked up a bloodied Burrell waking on State Line Road about two miles north of Farwell around 5:30 p.m., the release said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Curry County Crime Stoppers at 763-7000 or Sgt. Jerry Wike at the Clovis Police Department at 763-9470.

Callers can remain anonymous and a reward may be given for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
