Officials are conducting an arson investigation into a fire in a vacant home in the 300 block of Oak Street May 5 that caused more than $25,000 of damage, according to police reports.

Fire personnel extinguished a small fire last week that had been started in the home and caused significant damage. The home was sealed so the investigation could be continued.

The next day fire officials found several areas in the home where new, small fires had been started in addition to graffiti on the inside walls of the home, the report said.
