RENO, Nev. — Clovis High grad Travis Reid was consistent this week, if nothing else.

Reid, a sophomore at New Mexico State, fired his third consecutive round of even-par 72 on Wednesday. His 54-hole total of 216 gave him a tie for eighth in the Western Athletic Conference golf tournament.

Reid started the day tied for 18th place.

Host Nevada struggled to a 306 on Wednesday, but held on for a one-shot victory over Hawaii (860-861). The Aggies shot 289 in the final round and finished in a tie for fifth with Fresno State at 873.
