WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Eastern New Mexico University and Southwestern Oklahoma came into Friday’s Lone Star Conference women’ssoccer match tied for fourth place, and they left the same way.

Senior forward Megan Dozier’s goal with just over 30 minutes left pulled the Zias even, and the teams went on to play to a 1-1 tie after double overtime. Both teams are now 3-2-1 in LSC play with three matches left.

Jamie Hilterbran put the Lady Mustangs (6-6-2 overall) in front, scoring off a Southwestern free kick with 22 minutes gone in the opening half. The Zias (8-6-1) also got their goal on a free kick, with senior midfielder Katharine Columbe getting the assist to Dozier.

It was Dozier’s eighth goal of the season — five of which have put the Zias in front in a match for good.

ENMU returns to action on Sunday, facing LSC leader Central Oklahoma in an 11 a.m. (MDT start) at Edmond, Okla.
