A scheduling conflict has delayed the paving project on North Prince Street, according to New Mexico Department of Transportation project manager Raymond Reeves.
Reeves said the state highway project to resurface North Prince from Commerce Way to Llano Estacado Boulevard has been rescheduled to begin Tuesday.
It was scheduled to begin more than three weeks ago, but Reeves said rainfall and a lack of available workers have caused delays.
The resurfacing will take 10 days, and construction workers will be on site from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Motorists can expect a single lane of traffic to be open in both directions, and little cross traffic will be allowed, Reeves said.
