North wins six-man football clash

RUIDOSO — Melrose’s Cedar Rush scored four touchdowns on Friday as the North All-Stars beat the South 67-36 in the New Mexico Coaches Association six-man all-star football game, played at Ruidoso High School.

Rush caught four passes for 60 yards, including TD tosses of 16 and 7 yards from Logan’s Drew Perez and 23 yards from Logan’s Josh Franco. He rushed 10 times for 52 yards, including an 8-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Buffaloes teammate Brock Graham had a 37-yard scoring pass to Azan Chavez in the fourth quarter. Franco was chosen the game’s most valuable player.
