Denny Eugene Sprinkle, 77, of Clovis, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at MD Anderson Center in Houston.
Born Aug. 23, 1928, in Port Arthur to Carl Emerson and Dola Matthews Sprinkle, he married Betty Jean Fields on Jan. 1, 1952. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He was a civil servant for 25 years, a local real estate agent and businessman. Family members said he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking, and he loved his wife and family. He was a past grand patron for the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of Melrose No. 30 Order of Eastern Star. He was a 33rd degree Mason and past master of Melrose Lodge No. 39 A. F. & A. M. He was a member of Scottish Rite and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, of Clovis; two sons, Denny Sprinkle Jr. (and wife, Vala) of Clovis, and Jim Sprinkle (Jeanette) of Cedar Hill, Texas; three daughters, Penny Tuszynski (Gene) and Tammy Graham, all of Clovis, and Melinda Kirksey (Mike) of Forney, Texas; and 13 grandchildren, Joyce, Trey, Joanne, Michael, Treven, Ashley, Tazley, Tanner, Christopher, Marcus, Austin, Landyn and Hunter; and six great-grandchildren, Hali, Madilyn, Sierra, Baylor, Aaliyah and Michael.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Trey, Treven and Tanner Sprinkle, Michael and Marcus Kirksey, Christopher Oneill, and Austin, Hunter and Landyn Graham.
Mac Page will officiate services. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Eastarl Fund of the Order of the Eastern Star.
