Lorraine Ann “Lorrie” Hill, 61, of Clovis died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at her home.
Born Oct. 25, 1944, to Stanley and Lottie Sobczak in Detroit, she grew up in a Detroit suburb and was of Polish decent. A nurse and an officer in the U. S. Air Force, she was a registered nurse in Clovis for more than 30 years. She was an operating room nurse and worked as a home health care nurse, and later became a triage nurse at Plains Regional Medical Center. She was a National Football League football fan and enjoyed cheering for the Detroit Lions, family members said. They said she was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and pets. She loved animals, sewing, cooking and knitting, according to family members.
She is survived by her son, Steven Hill (and wife, Davina) of Rio Rancho; her daughter, Tracy Renee Hill of Albuquerque; a sister, Darlene Jasina of Michigan; five grandchildren, Britnie Jasso and Matthew, Cherise, Tristen and Taler Hill.
Cremation has taken place.
