Bernice Teeters, 88, of Clovis, died March 12, 2006, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Girard, Ill., to Frank and Flossie Stewart, she married Norm Teeters in October 1942 in Chicago. She lived in the Chicago area until moving to Clovis in 1969. She was active with the Colonial Park Country Club, where she played in several golf tournaments. She enjoyed dinner at the Elk’s Lodge and helping with Elk’s Bingo, family members said.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Arlene Teeters; and her sister, Roberta Ontis.
She is survived by one daughter, Norma Faries of Albuquerque; a stepson, Roy N. Teeters of Clovis; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dr. J. Vaughn Gossman will officiate services. Burial will be at the Virden (Ill.) Cemetery.
