Bomar, Buckley O.

Buckley O. Bomar, 38, of Fort Sumner died March 9, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1967, in Fort Sumner to D.O. Bomar and the former Mary Iona Glenn.

Raised on the family ranch west of House, he graduated from House High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University at Portales. He worked on the family ranch and for the Fort Sumner Irrigation District, and had made his home in Fort Sumner since 1998. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading and riding motorcycles, family members said.

He is survived by two brothers, Steve Bomar (and wife Donna) of Lubbock, and Tim Bomar of Clovis; three sisters, Dickie Bomar of Winfield, Kan., Jackie Bomar of Albuquerque and Charlotte Bomar of House; nieces and nephews Rodney, Shelly and Stephanie Bomar, Brittnee Roybal of House, Andrew Zamora (Crystel), Jonathan Zamora (Lura), Sasha Bomar of Albuquerque, and Cedar Bomar of San Jon.

Kenneth Whitecotton will officiate services.

Pallbearers will be Steve, Tim and Rodney Bomar, Andrew and John Zamora, and John Herrington.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
