Maurice “Fud” Erwin Bell, 93, Clovis died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at the Farwell Convalescent Center.
He was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Texico to William Austin and Louisa Minnion Bell. He was raised in Clovis. He married Mary Elizabeth Reed on July 17, 1937, in Farwell. He was a co-owner of Elliott-Bell auto supply, owner of Bell Real Estate and the Mirador Apartments. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he was a church board member, usher and greeter
He also was a member of the Clovis Board of Realtors, Desert Cruizers car club, and family members said he loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandchild, Alexis Camille Reithel; and 10 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Don Bell (and wife, (Harriet) and Gary Bell, all of Clovis; a daughter, Sandy Bell Carter (Marven) of Clovis; a brother, Ansel Bell (Scrub) of Ranchvale; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Murray (Mathew), Daina Toliver (Eddie), Brenda Sherwood (Scott), Vicki Reithel (Brian), Christy Hughes (Steve), Traci Harris (Randall) and Marla Bell; 15 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Pastor Gerald Woods and Vaughn Gossman will officiate services.
Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Murray, Eddie Toliver, Scott Sherwood, Brian Reithel, Steve Hughes and Randall Harris.
