Adela I. Luevanos, 71, of Clovis died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at her home in Clovis.
She was born June 5, 1934 in Newkirk to Juan and Tiofela Aragon. She married Luis Luevanos on April 25, 1985 in El Paso, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Angelina Sandoval and Margaret Torres; three brothers, Don, Luther and Alfonso Aragon; and a great-grandson, Cecilio Jaramillo III.
She is survived by her husband, Luis Luevanos of the home; five daughters, Angelina Kern of Clovis, Corina Cordova of Clovis, Patricia Jaramillo of Clovis, Barbara Ramirez of Albuquerque, and Margie Villalobos of Portales; five sons, Gilbert Jaramillo of Clovis, Joe Perfecto Jaramillo of Arlington, Texas, Eddie Jaramillo of Albuquerque, Cecilio Jaramillo of Albuquerque, and Anthony Jaramillo of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Maxine Aragon of Portales; a brother, Arthur Aragon; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked to embroider and won several 1st place ribbons. She also enjoyed playing pool and dancing. She worked at Portales Valley Peanut Mills, Clovis Cleaner, as a business owner of New Star Fashions, and sold Avon.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Father Sotero Sena will be the celebrant, with Deacon Daniel Chavez, assisting.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis
Pallbearers are Robert Cordova, Calvin Jaramillo, Gabriel Castillo, Eric Jaramillo, Joshua Villalobos, Anthony Cordova, Matthew Villalobos and Curt Kern.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
