Flora I. Wiegand, 82, of Raymore, Mo., and formerly of Clovis, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, in Raymore, Mo.
She was born May 6, 1923, at Fort Sheridan Army Post in Illinois to John Carroll and Sarah Frame. She attended school in Dexter, Mo. She worked as a telephone operator before joining the U.S. Navy in Cincinnati. She attended basic training in Bronx, N.Y. before being assigned to the U.S. Training Center in Miami.
She married Vincent A. Wiegand on Oct. 24, 1944. They were Clovis residents for 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Vincent C. Wiegand of Easley, S.C.; brothers, Calvin and Charley Frame; and sisters, Mabel Warner, Delores Nations and Iolene Musgrave.
Survivors include her husband; son, Robert M. Wiegand of Greenville, S.C.; daughter, Beverly A. Weber (and her husband Michael) of Raymore, Mo.; grandchildren, Vincent C. Wiegand, Jr., Gary C. Wiegand and Devan Hosterman; four brothers; and five sisters.
Pastor Wade Paris officiated.
Entombment took place in Chapel of Hope Mausoleum in Kansas City, Mo.
Arrangements were by Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home.
