Grayson Roberts, 85, of Clovis, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Garrison Geriatrics Center in Lubbock.
He was born May 23, 1920, in Clovis to Jack and Sally Roberts.
He started school in Clovis in 1926 and graduated in 1939. He married Azleet Randol on Feb. 2, 1941. He was a farmer and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. They moved to Clovis from Texico in 1974. He retired from farming in 1983 and worked for Doc Stewart Chevrolet and Buick. He married Lorene Harden on Dec. 29, 1993, in Clovis.
Family members said he enjoyed playing bridge with longtime friends, traveling every now and then and visiting his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was a member of the West 21st Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; brother, Floyd Roberts; and sisters, Veta Leckie, Mona Burrows and Frances Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Roberts; daughters, Callalya Hudnall (and her husband Wayne) and Pam Seiler (Tom), both of Lubbock; stepdaughter, Bobbye Brown of Angel Fire; stepson, Tom Harden of Clovis; grandchildren, Eric Hudnall, Stacie Seiler, Blake Seiler, Tyler Harden, Tiffany Jenne, J. Harden, Sandra Brown, Christie Hanlon and Jamie Brown; and seven great-grandchildren.
Cecil Bunch will officiate.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis
Pallbearers are Randy Roberts, Blake Seiler, Jackie Roberts, Humberto Ortiz, Jim Brown and Tom Harden.
Honorary pallbearers are all his friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the West 21st Street Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
